Send Flowers to Næstved, Denmark

Næstved is the main town of southern Zealand, on the Suså river a short distance from the coast, known for its medieval centre, its Holmegaard glassworks heritage and the castle and gardens at Gavnø just outside town. Many families here have relatives who moved to Copenhagen or abroad, and flowers are sent to Næstved for parents and grandparents, for birthdays and to mark a loss.

Danish Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday of May. Næstved families celebrate confirmations in spring and graduations in June with bouquets, and the Christmas season brings hyacinths and amaryllis into homes. For condolences, the custom is a wreath or bouquet sent to the church or chapel for the ceremony.

Order before midnight Danish time for next-day delivery. Include the recipient's phone number: the florist calls ahead and finds another time if nobody answers. Roses, lilies, tulips, mixed bouquets and plants are usually available, and a close equivalent is proposed if a flower is not in stock.
