Send Flowers to Køge, Denmark

Køge is a harbour town on Køge Bay south of Copenhagen, with a large market square, some of the oldest timber houses in Denmark and a marina and beach on the bay. Many Køge families have relatives abroad or elsewhere in Scandinavia. Flowers are sent here for mothers and fathers, for a sister's birthday, for new babies and for a funeral the sender cannot attend.

Mother's Day in Denmark is the second Sunday in May. In Køge, the Saturday market on the square is part of local life, and spring confirmations and June graduations bring bouquets to teenagers. For condolences, the custom is a wreath or bouquet to the chapel before the ceremony, with a short card.

Next-day delivery is available on orders placed before midnight Danish time. Add the recipient's phone number so the florist can call ahead and come back later if nobody answers. Roses, lilies, tulips, mixed bouquets and plants are usually stocked; otherwise a closely equivalent arrangement is suggested.
