Send Flowers to Helsingør, Denmark

Helsingør sits at the narrowest point of the Øresund in north-east Zealand, facing Helsingborg in Sweden, and is known worldwide for Kronborg Castle, the setting of Hamlet. The old town has cobbled streets and timber houses, and ferries cross to Sweden every few minutes. With so many cross-border families, flowers arrive in Helsingør from Sweden, Norway and further afield for parents, partners, new babies and sympathy.

Mother's Day in Denmark is on the second Sunday of May. In Helsingør, summer brings the Shakespeare festival at Kronborg, while spring confirmations and June graduations are the family moments when bouquets are given. Round birthdays are celebrated with flags and flowers at the door. For a funeral, a wreath or bouquet to the chapel before the ceremony is the custom.

Next-day delivery is available on orders placed before midnight Danish time. Include the recipient's phone number so the florist can call ahead and return later if nobody is in. Roses, lilies, tulips, mixed bouquets and plants are generally stocked; an unavailable flower is replaced with a closely equivalent arrangement.
